This was a weekend project that I did for a teacher friend of mine. She needed a mailbox to contain all of the individual papers for the kids in classroom to take home at the end of the day. I sent her a preliminary layout and rendering of the mailbox to make sure we were on the same page. I had a limited space to work with but I managed to create a spot for all of kids in her classroom, plus a couple more in the event that got more kids as the school year went on. The mailbox is made of 1/2″ plywood and the shelves are made of 1/4″ luan plywood. The base coat of paint is ordinary latex paint from a home improvement and the butterfly graphics are airbrushed with a special sign paint.
